This summer we will have a combined VBS at Canaan Church (17321, Murphy Avenue, Irvine, CA 92614) from August 16th to August 20th. Each day we will have VBS from 9 am to 12 noon and we will also have day camp activities each day from 12 noon to 5 pm. Please pick up a flyer at the church for fee details and register online to reserve a place for you or your child. As a Church (both congregations) we will have a special field trip to China Town on the 27th of March, 2010 (Saturday). We will be leaving by train around 9 am and will return around 5 pm. If you prefer to drive by yourself you are welcome to do so. The fees for each person is $ 18 which inculdes train tickes (round trip) and also the museum fees in China Town. Please bring extra money for lunch and shopping. Contact Pastor Francis for more information. |
We will have special prayer meetings during the month of March on every Saturday from 7:30 am to 8:30 am here at the church. During these morning prayer time we will be upholding our church, our family members in need of healing and also for God's direction for the future of our church. Please join us if possible. |

Grace Haven Youth along with the youth of Canaan Church will be going to a Winter Retreat from 5th to 7th of February, 2010. The Venue of the retreat is: Victory Ranch, 18080, Gilmore Springs Road, Moreno Valley, CA 92555, check out their website if possible: www.vranch.org. We will be leaving here at our church at 6 pm on Friday and will be back around 11 pm on Sunday night. Guest Speaker for this retreat will be Pastor Monty Sharp. |
We will be having special prayer meetings on Saturdays (Jan 30th and Feb 6th) from 7:30 am to 8:30 am here at the church. There is probably nothing as urgent and important at this point of our church history than corporate prayer, so please come join us as we seek God's guidance as a church. |

IFCBC and Grace Haven will have a combined Thanksgiving dinner on the 25th of November at 6 pm at the church. We will have a time of sharing and prayer after dinner, please feel free to bring your family and friends for this time of fellowship. |

| ACTS college fellowship is going to have a Kick Off this Thursday evening from 7:30 pm at our church. There will be plenty of games, snacks, worship music and a lot of fun meeting new friends from UCI. ACTS will continue this fellowship every Thursday from 7:30 to 9 pm here at our church and also will have Sunday School every Sunday from 11:15 to 12:15. All college students and post graduates are welcome to join this fellowship. |
| Grace Haven is launching a new Adult Bible Study for all adults over 20 on Friday evenings. We will be studying the books of 1 & 2 Thessalonians from 7:30 pm to 9 pm every Friday beginning from October 2nd. All members are welcome to join us for this Bible Study. |
IFCBC and Grace Haven will have a combined VBS for children under 12 from June 22nd (Monday) to June 26th (Friday) from 6 to 9 pm each night. The theme for this year is: WILD WOOD FOREST from David C Cook, please encourage all your children to participate. Registration fees is $ 35 after the 7th of June, $ 25 till the 7th of June. If your child can bring a friend along then both of them can go to VBS for FREE. The kids will have lots of games, fun and new songs to learn, so don't miss out this adventure into the wild. |

Grace Haven will have seminars for Spiritual Growth on the 20th (Friday) and 21st (Saturday) of March 2009. Our Guest Speaker for both nights will be Pastor Robert Neill who will be speaking on the topic: THE ROAD TO RENEWAL. On Friday we will start at 7:30 pm and on Saturday we will start at 7 pm. Both nights we will have a time of Q & A, refreshments and child care for small children. Please pray, mark your calendar and plan to join us both nights. You are welcome to bring your Christian friends to these meetings. |

IFCBC/Grace Haven will have their very first Table Tennis Tournament on 26th and 27th of July (Saturday & Sunday) here at the church. All players who signed up are required to be here on 26th (Saturday) for priliminary matches from 3 to 7 pm. On the 27th (Sunday) we will have the semi-finals and finals followed by Trophy presentation. Don't miss this fun, excitement and the rare opportunity to see your friends in ACTION!!! |
This year's summer retreat is from July 18 to 20 (Friday to Sunday). Our venue Pine Summit, Big Bear is an excellent Christian conference center with many recreational options, great food and a lot of fun. Our speaker for this year is Pastor Aaron Porter from San Luis Obispo. He will be speaking on the topic: Gospel of Grace: The heart of Christian living. Fees: Adult - $ 100, Student - $ 75, Children under 12 - $ 50. The deadline for sign-up is 15th of June. Since there is limited accommodation, we suggest you to sign up soooon. |

| We will have a special half-day seminar for married couples at our church from 9 am to 1 pm on the 17th of May. Our guest speakers for the seminar are KENT & MARY DYER who are certified marriage counselors and also the founders of Back To Marriage Basics. They are married for 39 years and have been actively involved in marriage enrichment seminars, retreats and training for the last 29 years. Child care is provided during the seminar. Do not miss this opportunity to enrich your marriage as we glean from the wisdom and experience of this wonderful couple. |

We will have our 3rd annual Revival Meetings on February 29th (Friday at 7:30 pm) and on March 1st (Saturday at 7 pm) at our church. Our guest Speaker this year is Dr Kevin Lewis (Theology Professor at Talbot School of Theology) who will speak on New Age Movements and the Spirit World. This is a great opportunity to learn about our changing world and will deepen our understanding of scriptures. Make sure to be here for both nights and also invite your Christian friends. We will have refreshments and Q & A time both nights, child care is provided. |
All parents who have children under 18 years of age (Grace Haven and IFCBC) are requested to join the Parent Teacher fellowship on the 3rd of February (Sunday) from 12:30 noon to 1:30 pm. This is an important meeting because we will be discussing the plans for children and youth ministries. We will also have an opportunity to meet the leaders and discuss the current events and schedules. We deeply appreciate your support and involvement in these key ministries. |
Grace Haven Christmas Carols will be on the 22nd of December (Saturday) from 5 pm to 9 pm. All the participants are expected to be here at the church by 4:30 pm for a brief time of practice and then we will be visiting several GH families that night to celebrate the coming of our Lord. |

Grace Haven will have its annual summer retreat from 20th to 22nd of July at Claremont college. Our speaker for the retreat will be Pastor LaMonte King who will be speaking on "Developing a community". |
Finally....all our waiting for the official use of our CE building is over. By God's grace we passed our final inspection and got our occupancy permit for our new building. From now on all the small groups can meet in thier own rooms for fellowship and very soon our offices also will move into the new building. |
| Grace Haven will have its Revival meetings on the 16th & 17th of March, 2007. Pastor Robert Orr will be the speaker for both nights and will speak on "Oikos Evangelism." All fellowships (Youth, College, IMPACT & Families) should make an effort to participate in these meetings. On 16th (Friday) the meeting starts at 7:30 pm and on 17th (Saturday) the meeting starts at 7 pm. We will also have refreshments and Q & A time after each lecture. |

 There will be a special seminar on "Money Matters" by Howard Morgenstern (financial expert from the CCCU) on the 10th of February from 9:30 am to 12 Noon at the New CE Building. All those who deal with money (that means all of you!) are requested to come and be benefitted by this seminar. There will be a Q & A time after the seminar.
